Two seasons, one phone.

In spring it's lawn and planting quotes. In the fall it's snow contracts. The morning after a storm it's "you missed my driveway." AlloPlace answers all of it in English or French while you're in the truck.

The calls you get

Spring cleanups and weekly mowing sign-ups. Quotes for a new patio, a retaining wall or a full backyard. Hedge trimming and fall leaf cleanup. Then, from October on, people who want a snow removal contract before the first storm, and commercial lots asking about plowing and salting. After every big snowfall, the phone fills up with customers asking when you'll get to them. In April, a few call about a lawn or a fence the plow clipped.

What it does for you

Books estimate visits. Landscape projects need a walk-through. It books those in your Google Calendar on the days you set aside for quotes.

Takes snow contract inquiries. Address, driveway size, whether they want the walkway done, when they need to leave in the morning. It all goes in one message, or straight into a booking if you quote on site.

Handles storm mornings. Several people can call at once. It tells them what you've written about how routes work, takes the address and doesn't argue.

Takes complaints without promising anything. A damaged lawn or a missed driveway becomes a clear message for you, not an apology you didn't approve.

Changes with the season. Update your services and rules in the dashboard when you switch from mowers to plows.

A typical call

It's 6:15 a.m. in Terrebonne after an overnight snowfall. A customer calls in French. Her driveway isn't done and she has to leave by 7. You've written that routes are usually finished by mid-morning and that early departures get flagged. AlloPlace explains that, takes her address and the time she needs to leave, and texts you an alert. You see it between driveways and decide whether to swing by.

TBD: replace with a real call once a customer agrees.

Rules you might write

  • "If someone asks about a snow contract after December 1, say we're full this season and take their name for next year."
  • "Don't transfer storm-morning calls. Take a message, and text me if they say they're stuck."
  • "If someone says our plow damaged their property, take a detailed message. Don't promise a repair."
  • "Landscape design quotes are booked Tuesdays and Thursdays only."

Good to know

  • Calendar or software: books into Google Calendar only. There's no connection to landscaping or snow route software, or to Jobber. Talk to us first.
  • Texts: it doesn't send storm updates or reply to texts on its own. You can reply to texts by hand from the inbox.
  • No outbound calls: it won't call customers to say the plow is coming.

What it costs

Starter is US$30 a month for 150 minutes. A big storm can mean a lot of calls, so set a spending cap if you want a firm ceiling. Full pricing
