A front desk for businesses that don't have one.
Most small businesses don't miss calls because they don't care. They miss them because the people who'd answer are busy doing the actual work. We built AlloPlace so those calls still get picked up.
Why we're doing this
The numbers are hard to ignore. Studies of millions of business calls keep finding the same thing: somewhere between a quarter and a half of calls to small local businesses never reach a person. Most of those callers don't leave a message. They try someone else.
Hiring a receptionist is the obvious fix, and for a lot of small businesses it's out of reach. A full-time receptionist costs tens of thousands of dollars a year and still goes home at five. Answering services help, but they cost more than many small shops can justify, and many don't offer French at all.
We think a small business should be able to have its phone answered properly, in both languages, for less than it spends on coffee for the crew.
The name
"Allô" is how French speakers pick up the phone. "Place" is a spot, a seat, a booking: réserver une place. Put together, it's roughly "hello, your spot's ready."

How we work
We're honest about the AI. Your callers hear that they're talking to an AI assistant. We say what the product can't do yet, right on the features page.
We'd rather show than tell. You can hear a real call before you sign up, and test it on your own business for free.
We're bilingual by default. French and English get the same care. The French on this site was written in French.
We keep pricing plain. Every feature on every plan. You pay for minutes, not for unlocking things.

Built on open source
