Features
Every plan includes every feature on this page. The plans differ in how many minutes you get, not in what the receptionist is allowed to do.
On the phone
Natural conversation. Callers can interrupt, change their mind or go off on a tangent. It keeps up, and it keeps replies short.
Your greeting, your name. Callers hear your business name and the greeting you wrote. They're calling you, not a software company.
English and French. It starts in the language you choose and switches when the caller speaks the other one. More on this
Answers from your information. Hours, services, FAQs, documents you upload and pages from your website. When something isn't covered, it says so instead of guessing.
Your rules, in plain language. Write rules the way you'd brief a new hire: "If someone has no heat in winter, put them through to the on-call tech." "We don't do work north of Saint-Jérôme."
Several calls at once. Monday morning rush, three people calling together. Nobody gets a busy signal.
Spam filtering. Robocalls and spam get screened out, and you aren't billed for them.
Booking
Google Calendar. It reads your real availability and books into your calendar, with the right length for each service and the right time zone.
Approve first, if you prefer. Turn on booking requests and it collects the details, then you confirm.
Safe changes and cancellations. Before moving or cancelling an appointment, it texts a one-time code to the number on the booking. No code, no change.
Confirmation and reminder texts. The caller gets a confirmation text, and if they agree on the call, a reminder about 24 hours before.
Handing off
Live transfer. It puts the caller through to you, your cell, or whoever is on call.
Messages. When a transfer isn't right, it takes the caller's name, number and what they need.
Alerts. Urgent calls and new messages can reach you by email or text.
Your inbox
Every call in one place. Recording, transcript and a one-line summary for each call.
Contacts. Everyone who has called, with their history and your notes.
Appointments and messages. What it booked, what it changed, and who's waiting for a call back.
Texts. See the texts sent to callers and reply by hand.
Your team. Invite staff, with owner and admin roles. If you run more than one business, switch between them without logging out.
On your website
Chat widget. Add a chat box to your website that answers questions, captures leads and books appointments, using the same knowledge as the phone receptionist.
Browser calls. Visitors can talk to your receptionist from the website, no phone needed.
For the technical side
API and webhooks. A public REST API and signed webhooks, so calls, messages and bookings can flow into your other tools.
Zapier. Connect AlloPlace to thousands of apps without writing code.
MCP server. Let an AI assistant that supports MCP look up your calls and bookings in AlloPlace, with your permission.
Billing that doesn't surprise you
Spending caps. Set a ceiling on overage so a busy month doesn't turn into a big bill.
Short calls are free. Calls under 10 seconds aren't billed. Neither is spam.
Privacy
Your data is walled off. Each business's data is kept separate at the database level.
Recordings and transcripts expire. They're deleted on a schedule, and you can delete a recording yourself. TBD: retention periods per plan.
Consent on record. When a caller agrees to reminder texts, we keep a record of it.
Not yet
We'd rather tell you now than have you find out after signing up.
- Outlook and Microsoft 365 calendars. Google Calendar only, for now.
- Jobber, Housecall Pro, Tekmetric, Shopmonkey and other job or shop software. No direct connection yet. Zapier or the API may bridge the gap for some setups. TBD: confirm which, if any, work through Zapier today.
- AI replies to text messages. You can reply to texts by hand. The receptionist doesn't text back on its own.
- Outbound calls. It answers calls. It doesn't make them.
- Other languages. English and French only for callers.
- A mobile app. The dashboard works on your phone's browser, and alerts come by text and email.
If one of these is a deal-breaker, tell us. It helps us decide what to build next.
