Pricing
Pay for the calls it answers. That's most of it.
Every plan includes every feature: booking, transfers, French and English, the website chat widget, the API. Bigger plans just come with more minutes.

TBD: a higher plan for trades. Research suggests trades already pay well above US$100 a month for software and answering services. Decide before launch whether to add one.
Pay yearly
TBD: annual pricing. The current catalog is US$288 a year for Starter and US$960 for Pro (20% off). The recommendation in Pricing is to switch to "2 months free" instead. Pick one and write this section.
How billing works
What counts as a minute. The time AlloPlace spends on a call, rounded TBD: rounding rule, per second or per minute. Calls under 10 seconds don't count. Neither does spam.
When you go over. Extra minutes are added to your next bill at your plan's rate. Extra alert texts are US$0.02 per text segment. Extra transfers are TBD: transfer overage is under review.
Spending caps. Set a monthly limit on overage. When you reach it, TBD: what happens at the cap: calls forward to your number, or go to voicemail.
Currency. Prices are in US dollars. Canadian amounts above are approximate and your bank's rate applies. TBD: CAD pricing once billing supports it.
Taxes. TBD: how GST, HST and QST are charged and shown on invoices.
Invoices. TBD: who issues invoices (merchant of record), and confirm Quebec customers get invoices in French.
No setup fee. Self-serve setup is free.
Cancel anytime. Monthly plans can be cancelled whenever you want and stay active until the end of the period you paid for. TBD: confirm against terms.
Want us to set it up?
TBD: proposed done-for-you setup, a one-time fee of about CA$149 to CA$299. We'd load your services, hours and FAQs, connect your calendar and set up forwarding with you on the phone. Decide whether to offer it at launch.
Pricing questions
Do I need a credit card to try it? No. The free plan needs no card. You only add one when you pick a paid plan.
Can I keep my phone number? Yes. Forward your existing number to AlloPlace. Your phone carrier may charge for forwarding.
What's a transfer? When AlloPlace puts a caller through to you or someone on your team. Each attempt counts as one transfer.
What's an alert text? A text to you or your staff about an urgent call or a new message. Confirmation and reminder texts to callers are TBD: decide whether caller texts count against the alert allowance.
What happens if I run out of minutes? It keeps answering, and extra minutes are billed at your plan's rate. Set a spending cap if you want a hard limit.
Can I switch plans? Yes, up or down, whenever you want. TBD: proration rules.
Is French extra? No. English and French are on every plan, including Free.
Why so much cheaper than a receptionist? It isn't a replacement for your staff. A full-time receptionist costs a lot more and still goes home at five. AlloPlace covers the calls that fall through: lunch, job sites, evenings, weekends, the Monday rush.
