You paid for that call. Answer it.
Local Services Ads put your business at the top of Google with a badge and a Call button. You pay for the leads. When one of those calls goes to voicemail, you've paid for nothing, and Google notices.
Missed calls cost you twice
Google ranks Local Services Ads partly on how likely you are to turn into a real lead for the customer. Its own help page lists your responsiveness to customer inquiries as one of the things that matter, and says missed calls may count against it.
So a missed LSA call isn't only a lost job. It can push your ad lower for the next person searching.
How AlloPlace helps
Answers right away. Evenings and weekends included, which is when a lot of urgent searches happen.
Qualifies the job. It asks what you'd ask: what's wrong, where, how urgent. If you've told it your service area and the work you don't do, it can turn away the wrong jobs politely.
Books or transfers. Routine work goes into your Google Calendar. Urgent calls go straight to you or whoever's on call.
Shows you every call. Each call is in your inbox with a transcript, so you can check what came in and follow up on anything that needs it.
Setting it up
Forward the number on your Local Services profile to AlloPlace, all the time or only when you don't pick up. You don't need to change anything in your Google account. TBD: confirm how LSA call forwarding and LSA's own call recording interact with conditional forwarding.
Good to know
- AlloPlace answers phone calls. If you've turned on message leads or booking leads in Local Services Ads, those still come to you through Google.
- If you dispute a lead with Google, the transcript in AlloPlace can help you remember what the call was about.
